No factories. No machines. Simply Handmade.

Saangoh's story began in the cozy corner of our bedroom back in 2019. Armed with nothing more than a basic leathercrafting kit and a stack of leather samples courtesy of my mom (thanks Mom), who happened to work at a furniture store, I dove headfirst into this adventure. After clocking out from my 9-5 job, I'd return home to the symphony of pounding and punching as I tinkered away with my craft, much to the patience of my wife (sorry Britt). As my collection of tools and leather scraps grew, it became evident that my little corner could no longer contain my passion. So, with some reluctance, but to the relief of both Britt and our pets, I relocated to a makeshift "workshop" in an old shed.

When the world came to a standstill in 2020, I saw it as an opportunity to dive headfirst into turning my hobby into a full-time pursuit. Surprisingly, my breakthrough came with the creation of custom, high-quality cat collars. While this venture kept me busy, it also provided the means to invest in better tools and refine my skills, watching hours of stitching video and tutorials from seasoned artisans in the trade. With the assistance of my wife and even my mom, the business expanded, granting me the freedom to delve into more intricate designs like wallets, bags, and belts. I was obsessed!

During this whirlwind period, my wife and I embarked on a simultaneous adventure to renovate a campervan for a year-long journey from the Pacific Northwest down to the tip of the Baja peninsula. In just 80 square feet, alongside our two dogs and a cat, I continued to hone my craft, setting up impromptu workshops on the van's bumper, whether parked on a sandy beachfront or a sketchy rest stop on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Our adventure pushed the limits of my dreams, but it only deepened my enthusiasm for leathercrafting.

Now, as we eagerly await the arrival of our first child, Britt and I find ourselves grateful to work side by side from the comfort of our home, pursuing our passions. Fully self-employed, with Britt taking the reins on the pet side of Saangoh leather goods, I can now dedicate my time to my true passion: crafting wallets.

We are so grateful for your support of our little family business. It's an honor to handcraft leather goods that we trust will withstand the test of time, just as your support has sustained us on this wild and wonderful journey.
